Thrivent disability policy, Why I did not cancel after first bad experience, Mom sayings and Thrivent letter of caution, Should have canceled

I had a bad experience when I filed my first disability claim with Thrivent in 2001 and dealing with their non benevolent claims department into 2003. You can read much more about the experience on this site.

Why did I not cancel the policy then?

  • My mom had a saying for every occasion such as: “Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.”
  • Thrivent sent me a letter on November 15, 2002 with their reasons not to cancel.

There were some valid points made as to why I should not change insurers.

Had I known then what I learned later, I would have canceled the policy and in the words of Jesus “And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”
